Stay Wild My Child
The first of the month = a new sketch challenge by Let's Scrap which = inspiration sharing time!!!
So here's the sketch to help kick off your inspiration.......
And here is my take on it.....well my take on the right hand side of it .....
I love the fact that my girl has a mind of her own, she is personality plus....to the point at times where she resembles a wild child. But I don't think that I ever want that to change about her. I hope that she continues to maintain a level of wild and independence about her as she grows.
Anyway here I have really used a little bit of everything to create this page. I delved deep into the dark depths of my stash, so unfortunately I can't tell you the exact name of things that I used but more so the range lol. So the base is a Bella page, The title is a mixture of thickers and the 'Wild Child' is a Dear Lizzy die cut phrase. The embelishments including the trees and mushrooms were actually fussy cut and given to me by a friend. The hedgehog are from a studio calico kit.
Thanks for stopping by, please leave me a comment with your blog address so I can check out your work too!
So I have a confession to make.....I'm a scrapbook hoarder! I love to make the most of my supplies and hate to see anything go to waste. As you would imagine then I end up with loads of unmatched pieces, and I continue to think 'ohh but that's pretty I'll keep it just in case I do another layout with similar colours'. More often than not, if I do another layout with similar colours I end up with more scrap pieces of paper. I made it my mission the other day to use as many scrap pieces that I could......wow did I have a lot of small no wait not small but tiny bits of paper. But I did manage to make what I think are some pretty cards with them...so mission accomplished!
Fish tail your strips at either end and stick them down, alternating colours. I added a sentiment onto a circle die cut and then added the odd wooden embelishment that I found floating around.
TIP: A lot of the papers are single sided - My sentiments are stamped onto the blank side of the pape…
What an achievement! Do-Al(1) Kreatives first birthday and blog hop. There is not much that can compare to the birth of something new, whether it be a child, a new idea or a new adventure it is a very exciting time.
Happy first birthday - It's time to celebrate.
Here is my inspiration piece for the blog hop, I've used a cute elephant and mouse digi from this month's sponsor Doortjes Digis
Welcome back it's that time again - yes another challenge!!!
This months challenge theme is party sponsored by Crafty Ribbons. I took the theme of party and kinda went in the direction of invitation meets surprise.
Here's what I came up with - hope you like it!
When I think about a party, even though I've never had one I think of a surprise party. And so here the surprise is hidden on the inside.
I used a resist pattern paper and then added some Heidi Swapp shine to it, I love the way that it sparkles!
Happy crafting everyone.
